This website is sort of a one trick pony, but it’s a very useful trick. I think all of us have, at some point, had a PDF that we wanted to edit in word, but it’s trickier to do that it should be. This website makes it simple. Upload a pdf, wait a few minutes, and download the doc file. I tried it on a few different pdf files, and it worked well, with some formatting issues, but all the text was there and the formatting was pretty close.

Need to go the other direction? I create PDF files all the time from any program on my computer using CutePDF. This free program installs like a printer, and can be found from the print menu on your computer. Create your document in word, excel, photoshop, whatever. Then simply print to PDF. Free and works great. There are free and paid versions, but I’ve never needed anything that the free version didn’t have.
